Recently I’ve been taking an Intro to Theology class for school, and it has been so interesting and honestly challenging to take a closer look at theology, because I’ve never really done much theology before.
This is a short post summarizing my thoughts on one podcast series we’re listening to as part of the class. The podcast is Simply Put, from the Ligonier Ministries (RC Sproul). Enjoy the post.
I listened to three episodes of Simply Put : One about the canon of scripture, one about justification through faith alone, and one about the ‘five solas’.
My favorite one was the Five Solas.
The Five Solas (scripture alone, faith alone, Christ alone, grace alone, to God’s glory alone) are a huge, important part of following God. I found learning about them highly convicting.
Simply Put is an awesome podcast–highly recommend.
All three episodes were clear, enjoyable to listen to, and very helpful. It was cool to learn about which books, letters, stories, and other pieces of literature were decided as inspired by God, and how justification and faith relate to each other.
