It’s been awhile since I’ve posted on my beloved book blog!
Summer is flying by. I can’t believe its’ already July. Something I’ve loved about it, though, is how much time I’ve had to read.
Library Run!
We visited the public library a few days ago, and I picked up some awesome books. I finished most of them within several days–they were that good!
I love re-reading, but there’s nothing like reading a book for the first time. I’m planning on making a post about one of these library books (The Windeby Puzzle by Lois Lowry) so stay tuned.
Slow Days
I’ve spent a lot of my time just at home, so I’ve had plenty of oppurtunites to get creative with hobbies. I picked up water coloring for a little (didn’t last very long, I wasn’t very good at it), redecorated my room, played Uno, taught a dog some new tricks, and wrote a few short little stories, just for fun.
And of COURSE I’ve been reading.
Reading on the porch in the summer is one of the best things about this world. It’s been so peaceful and relaxing to just read for fun without limits or assignment due dates.
Looking forward to it for the rest of the summer.
This was just a check-in post, but I’ll be trying to write more about some of my newest reads. Until next time!
