THE LAST PILGRIM”S PROGRESS POST!! It’s been a wild journey with Christian. He’s almost died, had moments of great joy, and mundane times too. But he took it all in stride.
So, without further ado, let’s conclude this epic tale.
Arrival at Last!
Christian had to plunge through a dark, churning river of death to get to the city.
But he is delivered out of the waters, and helped up a steep hill, all the way into…
The golden streets of the Celestial City.
Hopeful and Christian are clothed in white, and told what to do.
The City is a place of praise and service. They will live there forever, with their faithful King, worshiping and praising and serving and enjoying Him.
Christian is beyond joy.
Joy like no other
Imagine entering the Celestial City and seeing those shining streets, indescribable beauty, friends and family, all in the house of the Lord. Imagine getting to stay there forever, praising your King, evil defeated. Are you shivering with happiness?
YOU CAN EXPERIENCE IT.
The Celestial City is a representation of Heaven. Our final destination. All who are saved will be there one day, together, with God.
Reading this part of Pilgrim’s Progress has hyped me up for the Kingdom to come!!
Legacy
And another interesting part is that Christian’s life, his testimony, affected someone very dear to him.
His legacy found his wife and daughters. They set out after him, starting on the same up-and-down Path of a christian.
You never know what your story will start, I guess.
