My name is Chrysten. I’m a homeschooled high schooler in Southern California, and I am what I like to call a bibliophile–someone who loves books.
My earliest memories are of reading Dr. Suess and Beatrix Potter stories with my older sisters, then slowly, as I grew older, being drawn to books of all sorts.
I don’t really know why I’ve always loved stories so much. Honestly. How am I supposed to explain the thrill I get every time I open a book or step into a library? It’s weird, even to me.
This website was derived from my passion for books (well, also out of a school assignment), and through it I share my thoughts and ideas about literature.
When I say literature, I don’t just mean novels and picture books. I mean writing techniques, theology, history, movies based off a book, anything crafted from words. (Who knows–maybe I’ll even post some of my own writing sometime). Of course I’ll have the book reviews and lists of my favorite reads, but literature goes a little deeper than that.

These posts are all written by me, so it’s probably helpful for you to know a little bit about the author to realize where I’m coming from.
I’m a homeschool kid, which means I’m cool, but kind of nerdy sometimes, so bear with me.
Also, I’m a Christian, which means I believe and put my trust in God. Click here to read my post about how the Bible explains becoming a Christian.
And I’m from a big family, so my sense of humor is slightly sarcastic and kind of weird sometimes. (I apologize in advance for any jokes I make).
Anyways, I hope you enjoy my blog and find it helpful. Happy reading.
